McDonalds for Breakfast? = Not Fun

We thought we would start out this beautiful (HOT) day by going to McDonalds for breakfast. The kids had already eaten breakfast, and so I thought - YAY! They can play on the indoor playground and I can eat and have some quiet time to read my Bible. You can't really plan with Guerin right now. He is pretty unpredictable with his moods, and immediately upon arriving was crying due to having to remove his shoes in order to play on the playground. So he screamed and threw fits the entire time we ate . . . not such a peaceful morning. Upon arriving at home he requested to go to bed, and that is where he remains as I write. Tonight we are going to a wedding - with kids in tow - so we'll see how that goes!

Scary Evening Last Night

So . . . we took the boys to the pool and chris was catching guerin while he was jumping in off the kiddy step into the big pool. chris was taking a break from doing that, and I was standing right in front of guerin on the kiddy step (I was in the deeper part of the pool) when I got distracted by another child crying. Next thing I know I look down and to my left and Guerin is floundering and falling to the bottom of the pool. I don't know how long it had been but I pulled him out and he was gasping for breath. It completely freaked me out, and with my friend drowning last week, it brought out a lot of emotion. Not a fun feeling. I said to Guerin that that was very scary for mommy, and he said - yeah - that was scary mommy . . . we were with friends and i had to step away for awhile while I got a hold of myself. It really just takes seconds for a child to drown. And I am a terrible multi tasker.

graduated from medium to large . . .

Finally had to do it. go shopping for large maternity clothes. i know what that means. i will be in extra large clothes once again by the end of this pregnancy. found some old maternity bathing suits that will probably work for family camp in arkansas this summer . . . and also proceeded to head to ross to get a cover up to wear over it. :) got good/bad (but mostly good) news yesterday that we are in need of a new roof after the storms. good news is our out of pocket is only $2700. that's a lot, but would have had to get a new roof at some point and now we've had help paying for it. one of guerin's schoolfriends mom's told me this morning that her son has croup (spelling?) and i am hoping that our little guy doesn't have it. he has developed somewhat of a cough over the last few days and hasn't really had an appetite. hmm. we'll have to keep an eye on it. found out melanee is coming at the end of july to visit - yay!!! the little guys get to see their aunt. gotta go get the boys. love you guys!
